Aspire to Cross Over is led by coaches, mentors, and professionals developing the whole athlete. We blend athletic experience, character leadership, and mentorship to support athletes, families, and schools with consistent guidance and lasting impact.
Founder & Executive Director: Coach Timothy Maddix
Coach Timothy Maddix founded Aspire to Cross Over out of a personal calling to walk alongside athletes during moments of pressure, transition, and identity formation. His work began through direct mentorship with athletes navigating academic demands, injury recovery, performance pressure, and life decisions—often in environments where consistent guidance was limited.
Coach Maddix currently serves as a Character Coach and Motivational Speaker for the Chandler Unified School District, working across all six high schools and multiple middle schools. He is embedded weekly with high school athletic programs, providing team-based character coaching, in-practice support, and real-time mentorship during competition.
Through seasonal national engagement with Nike Basketball Camps, Coach Maddix also mentors athletes beyond Arizona, bringing a relational, character-driven approach to high-level youth sports environments. His leadership is grounded in presence, trust, and consistency—meeting athletes where they are and guiding them toward long-term personal growth.
