Our story

Aspire to Cross Over was founded to support athletes through the most critical transitions of their lives—from early adolescence into adulthood—by strengthening character, leadership, and long-term wellbeing. What began as individual mentorship evolved into a nonprofit organization addressing a widespread need for consistent guidance within competitive athletic environments.

Today, Aspire to Cross Over operates through school partnerships, team integration, and national youth sports platforms. The organization serves athletes locally, nationally, and internationally—reaching more than 5,000 student-athletes annually through district-wide assemblies, embedded team mentorship, and seasonal programming.

Aspire’s work extends beyond Arizona through partnerships with Nike Youth Sports Camps and emerging international initiatives, including leadership-focused summer programs in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Across all settings, Aspire remains committed to developing the whole athlete—mentally, emotionally, socially, and ethically—so they are prepared not only to compete, but to lead and thrive beyond sport.

Championship Success

Championship Culture & Proven Results

Aspire to Cross Over’s character-driven leadership model has helped cultivate championship cultures across multiple sports at Basha High School.

  • Basha Football: Arizona Open Division State Champions (2022, 2025), with deep postseason runs in 2023–24

  • Basha Baseball: State Semifinalists (2023, 2024)

  • Basha Basketball: State Semifinalists (2023, 2024); Quarterfinalists (2025)

These achievements reflect more than athletic success—they represent sustained investment in character, leadership, and team culture. Many coaches from these programs now partner directly with Aspire to Cross Over, helping extend this proven model beyond a single campus and into broader regional and national impact.

Who We Serve

Aspire to Cross Over serves male and female athletes ages 12–30 across multiple stages of athletic and personal development. Our programs support athletes in middle school and high school settings, collegiate athletics nationwide, and professional environments.

Through school partnerships, team-based mentorship, and seasonal engagement with Nike Basketball Camps, Aspire reaches athletes locally, nationally, and internationally. Our impact continues to expand through emerging summer leadership and sports initiatives in the U.S. Virgin Islands, extending character and leadership development beyond traditional borders.

Our Impact

Aspire to Cross Over has positively influenced the development of thousands of student-athletes by strengthening leadership, accountability, and personal responsibility during critical stages of growth. Through sustained mentorship and school-based partnerships, athletes supported by Aspire demonstrate increased emotional maturity, stronger decision-making, and improved readiness for academic, athletic, and life transitions.

Our impact spans local, national, and emerging international settings, reaching over 5,000 student-athletes annually through district-wide assemblies, team partnerships, and seasonal national programming. These outcomes reflect Aspire’s ability to produce consistent, character-driven growth within competitive athletic environments.

Our Approach

Aspire to Cross Over operates through consistent, relational mentorship grounded in seven core character values: Discipline, Diligence, Preparation, Patience, Wisdom, Humility, and Love. Rather than delivering isolated programming, Aspire integrates character development directly into athletes’ daily environments.

Our approach includes weekly team engagement, in-practice and in-game presence, campus visits, one-on-one mentorship, and collaboration with families and coaches. By remaining visible and trusted where athletes experience real pressure—on the sideline, in the huddle, in the dugout, and beyond—Aspire ensures character principles are applied in real time, not merely discussed.
